Celebrated stage actor and prominent media personality Charles James Senkubuge aka Siasa has joined the Kampala City Mayoral race come 2021. The former Presidential candidate will be contesting for the big political seat on the opposition Democratic Party, DP ticket.
The General Manager Salt Media and Chairman of Bakayimbira Drama Group is set to fill the void in Democratic Party that was left by the former Party's national mobilizer, singer Jose Chameleone who decided to move on by joining the National Unity Platform, NUP Party.
Through his socials, Senkubuge who has been a resident of Kampala city for the past 30 years has revealed how he is mainly focused at cleaning the mess around the city by creating an integrated self sustaining city once entrusted with the powers as the Lord Mayor.
"My special call to Kampala city has always to been to make you people smile trying to make you forget the suffering around us while educating and arming you for the best future. In a sure way of changing people's lives for the best I am offering myself for LORDMAYORSHIP as my final attempt to bring you real happiness and joy which i hope to attain by cleaning the mess around us, and by creating an integrated self sustaining city. With well lit streets, public toilets, where plans will be devised to make it possible for all to work in the city without being chased like criminals.
This is our City let us enjoy it.
