Uganda Cranes Depart For Burundi Ahead Of CHAN 2020 Qualifiers

Abdullah Mubiru, the Uganda Cranes interim and Police FC Coach yesterday 18th September, named the final 18 man squad to face Burundi on Saturday 21st September, 2019 in Burundi. 



The match in Bujumbura will be the first leg of the second round of the qualifiers for the Total CHAN 2020 in Cameron. 

Uganda reached the second round with a 7:2 aggregate wrought of Somalia.

However, they travel without Patrick Kaddu and Allan Kyambadde who were vital in the win against Somalia. 

The former hit a hat trick in the second leg, and the latter scored once to make it 4:1 adding to the 3:1 in the first leg to make it 7:2 on aggregate. 

Allan Kyambadde signed for El Gouna-Egypt in August while Kaddu signed for RS Berkene of Morocco.

Burundi reached this stage after a 4:1 aggregate thumping of South Sudan.

The squad left for Burundi in the wee hours (3PM) today 19th September, 2019 by Kenya Airways.
