Kyetume FC have beaten Mbarara City to the battle of securing the signature of right back Bishop Henry Orom.

The two Uganda Premier League clubs have for a while been approaching the overlapping defender but it has been the "Slaughters" who won the race after the former Synergy FC player inked a two year contract with the Club.

Henry Orom has greatly been known for his nice performance in the Masaza Cup where he played for Buwekula Saza Team, Gomba FC and Buddu.

He has since 2018 been playing for Buganda Regional League side Synergy FC who has also captained since 2019.

Orom joins compatriot and goalkeeper Emmanuel Derrick Were who he played with at Ssingo, Felix Okot, Rashid Muhammed, Steven Ibrahim Kabuye and Ezra Bidda which brings the number of new signings for the Charles Livingstone Mbabazi coached side to six.

Playing in their debut season that has recently been concluded, Kyetume FC managed to stay in the top flight after finishing 11th on a sixteen team log with 30 points from 9 wins, 3 draws and 13 losses.

The new season 2020/2021 is set to kick off on 17th October, 2020 as the FUFA Big League will kick off on 29th October,2020
