A Nowergian Newspaper called ‘Bistands Aktuelt’ has written a five page featured exclusive interview and biography of Ugandan musician cum hope-holding politician Bobi Wine giving him a Mileage not so many African politicians have reached before.

Bobi Wine, real names Kyagulanyi Robert Ssentamu has culminated into Uganda’s leading opposition having emanated from the ghettos.

In the featured story, the Norwegian paper takes us through Bobi Wine’s life journey and chronological events that led him out of his musical career of fame and lavish lifestyle to a patriot who now stands with his people. He entered politics through a defiant ghetto card with an entire young generation rallying behind him up to date. Bobi Wine says it is the calling of the people that inspired him into politics.

“The people made me who I am. They supported me from grass by attending my music. Now is the time for me to pay them back by standing with them as we oust this dictatorship,” one of the lines in the featured story reads.

Pundits say Bobi would not have hit the limelight had the regime not panickingly rushed to prosecute him and frustrate his life with a torrent of cases ranging from blocking his music shows, treason and now compromising his newly formed National Unity Platform party. All this is what drew Bobi public traction with Ugandans believing in him to be the long awaited liberator and Museveni challenger.

Bobi apparently poses a huge threat to Museveni because a full generation of unemployed change desperate young people look to him as their only hope in the looming general elections.
