Wakiso Giants Name Alex Isabirye as their New Assistant Coach

Nick named the "Purple Sharks", the side has early on Tuesday 8th September, 2020 named experienced tactician Alex "Trezeguet" Isabirye as the club's assistant head coach.

The CAF A licensed coach will deputize head coach Douglas Bamweyana and arrives with enormous experience having coached URA FC, Kyetume, BUL FC, Nyamityobora and Masavu FC.

He joins other technical staff members at the club who include; Mathias Kisitu (Team manager), Alex Musongola Isabirye (Assistant coach), William Kasozi (First team Trainer), Julius Gayira (Fitness Trainer), Keith Walusimbi (Team Doctor), Ali Kiggundu (Goalkeeping coach), Alex Kizito (Youth team head coach) and Farouk Mugerwa (Kits manager).

Wakiso Giants "Purple Sharks" but also known as "The Pride of Wakiso" finished 10th on a 16 team log with 30 points from 8 wins, 6 draws and 11 losses as they had three coaches in their innagural season. (Keefa Kisala, Charles Livingston Mbabazi and Deo Sserwadda.

The new season 2020/2021 is tentatively set to kick off on 17th October, 2020 if healthy status in the country eases.
