News reaching our desk discloses how Vipers SC and Uganda Cranes forward Fahad Bayo is on verge of completing a deal signing with Israel's entity Ashdod FC.
A source that preferred anonymity revealed that Bayo is to pen a four year contract at Israel based Ashdod FC. If all goes well for the forward, Fahad Bayo will join fellow Ugandan Timothy Awany who also joined the side from KCCA FC in July, 2019.
Fahad Bayo finished third on the top scorers chart last season, netting 11 goals, behind Police FC's Ben Ocen (12) and Maroons' Steven Mukwala (13).
He has been a target for South Africa's Mamelodi Sundowns, Egypt's Al Ahly and Morocco's Wydad Casablanca.
The 22 year old towering forward has also had stints at Proline FC in Uganda and at Zambia's Buildcon FC.
