Uganda Cranes Star Robert Ssentongo successfully undergone an abdominal surgery at Kyetume Healthy Center four. Ssentongo has been a key figure in helping Kyetume FC stay in the top flight league after their first season.

Ssentongo Robert has for long been a victim of Hernia but successfully underwent the knife. He's thought to be released from the hospital today 25th July, 2020.

Robert Ssentongo's glamorous season at Kyetume saw him win the player of the month in February after notching six goals and assisted four in six matches in the month thus beating teammate and goalkeeper Joel Mutakubwa and David Bagoole to the gong.

He finished last season with eight goals losing the boot to Maroons' Steven Mukwala who notched 13 goals.

Ssentongo Robert and Majid Musisi are the only two players to have won the Uganda Premier League boot on four occasions. The former won in 2004, 2012, 2015 and 2016 all at URA FC as the later won in 1987, 1989, 1990 and in 1992 all at SC Villa.
