Bashir Mutanda has left SC Villa after his contract at the sixteen time Uganda premier league champions had expired.

“My contract at Sports Club Villa ended and I will not renew as I seek for opportunities elsewhere. In a special way, I thank the club management, technical team, fellow players and the fans” Mutanda Said according to Sports Fan Magazine.

Mutanda was Villa's top scorer with 13 goals helping the Joggos finish 3rd on a sixteen team log for the first time since the 2017/2018 season.

Mutanda also played for Buwekula in 2016 in Masaza Cup before joining Vipers. He has had two seasons at the Joggos. SC Villa finished third with 46 points from 13 wins, 7 draws and 5 losses.

It's reported many players awe the club arrears and the likes of Derrick Ndahiro are some of the players on their way to the exit.

The new season 2019/2020 starts on 17th October, 2020.
