Celebrated legendary radio personality, James Onen aka Fat Boy has been fired from Sanyu FM Blizz Uganda has learned.
It is reported that the 88.2 Sanyu FM 'The Breakfast show' presenter is among the many employees that have been shown exit by the Kampala city's World Adult Contemporary Pop and Urban Music broadcast radio station citing indiscipline.
According to inside sources, the management of the radio station having decided to reduce on the May salaries as a way of cutting costs because of the COVID-19 pandemic, this didn't go well with the workers as many saw this as another form of concealed exploitation thereby going on with a sit down strike.
This has prompted the management of Sanyu FM to act swiftly and relieve some of these workers from their duties, Fat Boy inclusive.
21 years down the road on the air waves, Fat Boy through his socials has written a fair well message having learned that his vacancy will be taken over by stand up comedian, Patrick Idringi Salvador.
"21 years. The ride is over. Thanks for the support all these years, you're the best fans in the world. Will communicate future plans soon. In the meantime, ladies, I'm coming for some transport money. #SavetheBoyChild š," Fat Boy stated through his socials.
