At some point in Uganda HiPipo were the biggest and most valuable music awards but the team fell apart 3 years ago as of now they have accepted defeat and cancelled the awarding ceremony.

Having served the industry for over 13 years and held yearly awards events since 2012, HiPipo have not been performing so well even after relocating from Winder World in Kansanga and taking them to Serena where they were buried with few people attending each year.

While gearing up for the 9th Edition, Hipipo crew and their boss Innocent Kawooya have accepted that maybe they need a reform to resurrect the dead dream of running the biggest Music Awarding event in Africa.

According to a document Blizz Uganda received, everything has been stamped to be at a standstil they have called a "postpond" which we all know in Uganda means canceling.

Mr Innocent Kawooya, the CEO of HiPipo has today morning communicated this development to the key stakeholders, local and international partners of HiPipo Music Awards. We regret any inconveniences caused by this postponement." Read a document we received.
