Match day two of the Pepsi Uganda University got underway on Wednesday with one fixture as YMCA hosted and lost 0:1 at home to St.Lawrence University “SLAU” in Buwambo.
Isaaya Sabiiti was on target for St. Lawrence University to give his side a deserved win and the second this season. The win took SLAU who now tops group D to six points after they also won 4:1 win against Bishop Stuart University in their group opener. The defeat by YMCA was their first of the season after they beat former champions MUBS in their first match of the season.
St. Lawrence University stays at the top of the table with six points, YMCA are second with three, with MUBS and Bishop Stuart yet to earn a point this season.
Action resumes on Thursday 5th March 2020 in group E as group leaders Bugema University host second placed Gulu University at Bugema. Bugema who beat Muni University 2:1 are at the summit with three points as Gulu drew 0:0 with Nkumba to stand second on table.
