Ugandan model, actress and philanthropist, Nalongo Judith Heard has left many of her fans and followerss in confusion after her first ever public support to the  Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) community.

The award winning model and global runway face, Judith Heard has taken it to her social media to condemn the killings of the LGBT people especially in Brazil which is known among the first countries to ever legalize these acts.

She also went ahead to translate the post to Portugues, a language spoken in Brazil inorder for her message to reach the right people.

Read Judith Heard's English post below:

"Brazil is one of the leading countries for LGBTQ+ rights - same s@x marriage has been legal there since 2013, same s@x couples also have the right to adopt, and recently homophobic and transphobic attacks have been given the same legal consideration as racist incidents, granting new protection to the LGBTQ+ community.

According to the Guinness World Records, the São Paulo Gay Pride Parade is the world's largest Pride celebration in the world - 4 million people attended in 2009! A s@x change operation is a constitutional right of every person in Brazil - since 2007, the operation has to be performed for free and be covered by a standard medical care package. On the flip side, life for LGBTQ+ citizens is still very difficult - Brazil has ranked first in the number of murders of trans people in the world for several years now, so it is obvious that there is still lots of work to be done."- She posted on her social media.
