It was an emotional moment last Thursday at the Comedy Store UG as struggling musician Gerald Muwonge aka Clever J buried the hatchet with his long time enemy, singer Jose Chameleone.
The musician, arranger, producer, composer and writer acquired overnight fame for his hit song Manzi Wanani, a big song about a decade ago that saw him feed on the table of men.
His break through saw him being criticised by revelers for singing like his cousin Jose Chameleone and when he fell from the pecking order, it was likely to be the vice versa of the narrative as he constantly accused the Leone Island Music Empire CEO as the one responsible for his downfall.
Revelers reached to the extent of accusing the "Baliwa" singer of doing witch craft claiming that he had used "Juju" to ensure that Clever J's career is no more as he feared being taken on by the rising act by then.
During his maiden performance at the Comedy Store, Clever J grew goose bumps after being surprised by Jose Chameleone and he had to invite him to stage to confess his utmost admiration and too much love for him thereby reconciling their indifferences.
