The weekend saw five fixtures played in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League with eight goals scored starting with Saturday, the mighty team Busoga United beat BUL FC to continue the oil makers' winless run in 2020.
Musa Walangira and David Bagoole scored in the 15th and 17th minute respectively and Lawrence Tezikya pulled one for the visitors. The win was Busoga's second in eight encounters with BUL winning one and the rest being draws (5).
On Sunday, Vipers got their first win under new coach Fred Kajjoba, a 1:0 win over Onduparaka with a goal from Vipers' captain of the day Geoffrey Wasswa. The win put Vipers in a five points lead over second placed KCCA who lost 2:1 to URA on Friday 31st January, 2020.
Bobos Byaruhanga was named man of the match. Express FC were 1:0 losers at home to visitors Mbarara City courtesy of a Makweth Wol 54th strike. Express FC stand at the edge of relegation zone in 13th position a slot aloft og relagation with 21 points.
Elsewhere, Proline FC were 1:0 home losers to Kyetume FC, a solitary strike from experienced Uganda Cranes forward Robert Ssentongo was enough for the visitors to claim all the points for the "Slaughters".
A match between Wakiso Giants and Bright Stars concluded the weekend results with a one all stalemate. New signing and eventual man of the match Gadafi Wahab set the Purple Sharks levelled in the 55th minute after Bright Stars had led in the 45th minute through Angu James.
