Vipers SC Brutally Thumps Proline FC in a Six Goal Thriller

Vipers SC have on Tuesday 14th November, 2020 continued their lead at the top of table with a 4:2 win over Mujib Kasule's Proline in a match played at Star Times Stadium, Lugogo.

Vipers scored through a brace apiece from Dennis Mwemezi and Fahad Bayo. Mwemezi Denis, a Masaza product from Ssese scored an equaliser off a brilliant pass by Karim Watambala in the 11th minute, three minutes after Diego Hamis had given the Purple and Yellow stripped side the lead.

Two minutes later, Fahad Bayo gave the Venoms the lead before Mwemezi completed his brace in the 19th minute. Three minutes to an hour mark, Fahad Bayo also completed his brace, a penalty after Mwemezi was fouled in the forbidden area to make the score 4:1 before Hakim Kiwanuka scored the second for Proline and the game's last goal five minutes to full time.

A brace by Fahad Bayo took his goals tally for the season to 11 level with Maroons' Steven Mukwala, the two top the top scorers list. The win takes Vipers to 42 points from 17 matches, 13 wins three draws and one loss. The Kitende based side now sit seven points ahead of second placed defending champions KCCA who lost 2:1 at Bright Stars.

Proline however missed the chance of moving out of relegation and are still glued at the bottom of the table with 12 Points, five wins, three draws and 9 losses

NB. Proline was docked with six points and six goals as a penalty for failure to honour the fixture against SC in the first round
