Uganda’s Okwi and Denis Onyango nominated for 2019 CAF Awards

Ugandan striker Emmanuel Okwi and skipper Denis Onyango have been shortlisted for CAF Award 2019 in the 28th edition of the awards that will take place on January 7th 2020 at Citadel Azure, Hurghada, Egypt.

The list of nominees was compiled by a panel of media and technical professionals that saw players nominated in various categories of both men and women football, which include African Player of the Year, Coach of the Year, Youth Player of the Year, National Team of the Year, Goal of the Year, Africa Finest XI, Federation of the Year, interclubs Player of the Year Award and many others.

Denis Onyango who plays as goal keeper for the South African club Mamelodi Sundowns was nominated in two categories of African Player of the Year category that includes other continental stars like Aubameyang of Arsenal, Muhammad Salah of Liverpool, Sadio Mane of Liverpool, Riyad Mahrezod Manchester City and many others plus Interclubs Player of the Year award while the Okwi who plays for the Tanzanian club Simba was nominated for the Interclubs Player of the Year award.
