Denmark-based Ugandan singer Joanita Zachariassen made a grand return to the Ugandan music scene, officially launching her latest single Party After Party at a well-attended press conference where she revealed her emotional music story from.
Speaking to the press, Joanita expressed her excitement about reconnecting with her Ugandan audience, promising fresh, dynamic music.
“I have been doing music in Denmark for years, but Uganda is home. I’m back, and I’m here to give my fans something new, something energetic, something that will make them dance!”- she said.
Joanita’s new single Party After Party is a high-energy Afro-pop anthem that celebrates life and good times. Produced by Jazz On The Beat, the song blends vibrant beats with Joanita’s signature melodic vocals, creating a track that is set to dominate Uganda’s airwaves.

The music video, directed by Frank Jah of Jah Live, was also premiered at the event, showcasing stunning visuals that complement the song’s lively vibe.
Fans, media personalities, and industry stakeholders who attended the press conference were treated to an exclusive first listen of the song. The event marked the beginning of Joanita’s new musical journey in Uganda, as she also confirmed that she and her family—her husband and music manager, along with their son—have relocated to Uganda to focus on her career.
“I want to fully involve myself in the industry here and connect with my people. This is just the beginning,” Joanita added.
