Legendary Ugandan musician Jose Chameleone is set to undergo a major pancreatic operation within the next 12 hours following a severe health complication, sources close to the singer have revealed.
Chameleone, who has been battling health issues for some time, traveled to the United States in December to seek better medical care. However, reports indicate that while under medical supervision at home, he suffered a serious attack that has now necessitated urgent surgical intervention.
The first public update on his condition came from philanthropist and businesswoman Juliet Zawedde, who has been actively supporting the singer during his treatment.
Additionally, his younger brother, fellow singer Weasel Manizo, has since flown to the U.S. to stand by him during this critical time.
Fans and well-wishers have flooded social media with prayers and messages of encouragement, hoping for a successful surgery and a speedy recovery for the music icon.
