At just nine years old, Nazziwa Shanaya Malaika has achieved what many children of her age only dream of—being crowned Mini Miss Uganda 2024. Her journey to the title, marked by weeks of determination and confidence-building during the Little Miss Uganda competition, was celebrated by her family with a memorable outing at Coco Beach in Entebbe.
Nazziwa, a student at Taibah International School, shone brightly throughout the competition, especially during the Bootcamp phase, where her belief in herself and unwavering confidence set her apart.
Her victory not only earned her the crown but also the admiration of many across the country.
The celebration, organized by her family, was filled with joy and heartfelt moments.
In her speech, Nazziwa expressed deep gratitude to her father, Dr. Shafik Zziwa, for his unwavering encouragement and trust in her abilities.
"I am so thankful to my dad for always believing in me and supporting me every step of the way," she shared, her words filled with emotion and maturity beyond her years.
Nazziwa also outlined her vision for the future, using her platform to make a difference. She pledged to support vulnerable children, including the sick and disabled, and voiced her ambition to meet President Yoweri Museveni. Her goal? To advocate for the construction of more free schools across Uganda to ensure access to education for all children.
