The Garden City Rooftop came alive with the vibrant energy of the Dancehall Heat Rave, headlined by Beenie Gunter. The event, organized by Talent Africa Group, was a true celebration of dancehall culture, bringing together top artists, fierce dance competitors, and an ecstatic crowd for an unforgettable experience.

A major highlight of the evening was the intense dance competition, where contestants showcased their best moves in front of judge Ritah Dancehall.

With a grand prize that includes the chance to perform alongside Dexta Daps on December 14, 2024, plus cash awards, the competition was a showstopper. The dancers brought raw passion and energy, captivating the audience and making the judges’ decision difficult in the best way.

The night's lineup was packed with stellar performances from some of Uganda’s biggest names in dancehall. Lydia Jazmine, Naselow Da Don, Party Pipo, Nutty Neithan, Vampino, Dax Vibez, and Jokwiz all took the stage, with DJ Tony, DJ Kash Pro, DJ Denno, and Sheila Salta keeping the vibes going strong. But it was Ziza Bafana who stole the show, commanding the stage with unmatched energy and leaving the crowd in awe with his dynamic performance.

Then came the main act—Beenie Gunter. As he delivered hits like "Seekledown" and "Njewulira," the audience joined in, singing and dancing along.

The energy was electric, and it was clear the crowd was fully immersed in the celebration of dancehall culture.

Aly Allibhai, CEO of Talent Africa Group, couldn’t hide his enthusiasm after the successful night:

“Last night was a powerful display of Uganda’s dancehall talent. The energy, the passion—it was all incredible. We’re so proud to provide a platform for such talent and can’t wait for Dexta Daps' performance.”

This was the very first edition of the Dancehall Heat Rave, and with Talent Africa Group gearing up for the much-anticipated 9th edition of the Nyege Nyege Afrogalactic Carnival in Jinja from November 14–17, the bar has been set high.
