The Ugandan music industry is mourning the loss of prominent music producer Skills on Da Beat, real name Erisa Mukisa, who was pronounced dead this morning at Kiruddu Hospital where he had been receiving treatment from.
Reports indicate that Skills suffered a sudden blackout last night and was rushed to Kiruddu Hospital for urgent medical attention. Despite efforts from the medical team, the renowned producer tragically lost his battle and was pronounced dead earlier today.
His body remains at the Kiruddu Hospital mortuary, awaiting transportation to his hometown Jinja for funeral preparations.
Skills on Da Beat made a lasting impact on Uganda’s music scene, having produced numerous hit tracks such as “Love Doctor”, “Cheza Mama”, “Oli Kuki” by Sheebah and Dokta Brain, and “Pull Up” by Kent & Flosso.
