Just a few Hours after the shocking incident in Bulindo where he as shot from, Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine has broken his silence through a statement confirming that he was indeed shot in the leg. The National Unity Platform (NUP) leader minced no words, calling out what he believes was a direct attack on his life by the government.

In his post, Bobi Wine described the harrowing moment when police and military personnel allegedly surrounded his convoy, opening fire without hesitation. He claims the attack was led by a commander identified as Twesigye, and live bullets, teargas canisters, and other projectiles were fired at his entourage. "Our President #BobiWine who was clearly targeted was shot in the leg," the post read, with Bobi Wine emphasizing the gravity of the situation.

He reassured his followers that he is currently receiving medical treatment, and in true Bobi Wine fashion, attached photos of himself in the hospital, a sign of resilience and defiance even in the face of such adversity.

"This evening as our President returned from Bulindo in Kira Municipality where he had gone to check on one of our lawyers, Musisi George, the police and military under the command of one Twesigye surrounded our vehicles and started firing live bullets, teargas canisters and other projectiles. In the process, our President #BobiWine who was clearly targeted was shot in the leg. He is currently being attended to by a team of medical doctors. This is yet another attempt on the life of our President by the Museveni regime!"- he tweeted.

In the same tweet, Bobi Wine didn't hold back on his thoughts about the regime, accusing President Museveni’s government of orchestrating yet another attempt on his life.

As this story continues to develop, Uganda watches closely, with many wondering what will come next in the political saga of Bobi Wine vs. the Museveni regime.
