Swangz Avenue's rising star, Elijah Kitaka, is known for his genre-bending music, but it's his eye-catching style that's been stirring up talk around town, from wearing short-shorts, daring face piercings, and rocking colors that some might label "feminine," Kitaka’s look has sparked alot of rumors about his sexuality. Is he gay? Straight? Somewhere in between? People have speculated for months.

“Ugandans are so quick to judge, It’s up to you to hold onto your judgmental views. But let me be clear: I am straight." Kitaka said with a smile, challenging the assumptions people have been making about his style. “I’m comfortable with the way I express myself. But let me make this clear: I’m interested in women.”
He couldn't have put it more plainly, but Kitaka also made a point to tackle a deeper issue: the way people rush to conclusions based on appearances.
