KCCA FC was in the weekend ejected from the CAF Confederation Cup by Algeria's Paradou A.C on a 4:1 aggregate score.

KCCA are 13 Uganda Premier league Champions and have dominated the league for the past six seasons winning on four occasions and Vipers winning the other.

But KCCA have made it to the CAF Champions league group stages only once in that run (the only side to reach the feat) and being eliminated by Paradou A.C is unsatisfying.

Representing Uganda on the continental level on four occasions in the last six seasons would mean KCCA are now experienced enough to outmaneuver such opposition but KCCA always look a new side in the competitions.

First, the Kasasiro boys have failed at improving on their continental performance by letting go of every player that emerges out to show some quality.

One may say that the deals come with a lot of money that is undeniable, but more money is assured of if the club advances to higher levels in the competitions.

For instance, had the Mike Mutebi side made it to the group stages, they would be assured of at least a prize money in the region of 1bUgShs.

Still to note, a club that performs at the continental level will most likely attract more lucrative sponsorship deals.

Hinting at the squad; had KCCA FC not sold the likes of Derrick Nsibambi, Mohammed Shaban, Allan Kateregga,Timothy Awanyi and others, they would now be boasting of an experienced side but now Mike Mutyaba is the only reliable experienced player in that squad.

The other star is Allan Okello who is too young for KCCA to lie up on though he yields quality. The other players like Samuel Kato, Musa Ramathan, John Revita, Steven Sserwada are all good players but have not had any experience of the continent's test.

Changing the squad itself will mean players will always have to understand each other every new season.

Therefore, KCCA will always look a new side in the competitions because of selling each player that looks to have matured.

This will be followed by failing to even impress against teams in the Confederation Cup where they land after failing out in CAF Champions league.

What should KCCA do?

KCCA FC should revise the way they contract their players so that they don't just move to where they like.

For the players will always mind about greener pastures but as a club, they should mind about growing their reputation on the continent by keeping players for some good time.

A case in point is Tottenham hotspurs, they won't let their players go very easy like that. And the fruits now is playing in the European Champions league finals last year.

Moving all that journey is undisputed. They have got money in the run.

It will take the Kasasiro boys time to recover if they don't use this time when they are a club to look out for in Uganda because soon Vipers will take on as the trend setters in the country.

KCCA must watch out!
