Jackie’s battle with addiction, in particular, served as a catalyst for their reunion. The trio set aside past differences to support her, leading to a heartwarming and emotional reconciliation.
"We cried, forgave, fought, but ultimately, we worked through our differences and emerged as stronger friends," they shared, reminiscing about their early years with nostalgia and affection.
The conversation also highlighted their gratitude towards Steve Jean, the mastermind behind their early success, and Aly Allibhai, the CEO of Talent Africa Group, who facilitated their reunion without judgment or conditions. Cindy revealed that the group has a new song in the works, reflecting their growth and experiences.
“Picture a BLU 3 with all the growth we’ve gone through. We are going to embody that,” Cindy Sanyu said. “You’ve never seen someone on stage who has overcome drugs, grief, and so many personal battles. The power of our combined stories can only be witnessed on June 22nd.”
The much-anticipated "Legends of Sound" BLU 3 reunion concert is set for June 22, 2024, at the Kampala Sheraton Gardens.
