Media personality Malaika Nyanzi has bid farewell Capital FM, marking the end of a five-year journey with the popular radio station. Nyanzi, who first graced the airwaves of the Kisementi-based station in 2019, has been a familiar voice to many, having previously lent her talents to KFM.

Nyanzi's tenure at Capital FM was punctuated by her engaging partnership with veteran media personality James Okoth, affectionately known as Oulanya Columbas, as they co-hosted the spirited "Overdrive" show. Together, they captured the hearts of listeners, infusing their afternoons with energy, entertainment, and a dash of wit.

Expressing her gratitude on social media, Nyanzi took to Facebook to reminisce about the memorable moments shared with listeners over the past five years. "Hey, my awesome Afternoon Besties, Can you believe that it has been 5 years already? Since 6th May 2019. 5 amazing, wonderful, fulfilling years of being on the @capitalfmuganda #MalaikaAndOulanyah," Nyanzi wrote in her heartfelt message. "Thank you so much for loving me and raising me. Thank you for allowing me to be your Afternoon bestie."

Despite bidding farewell to Capital FM, Nyanzi assured her fans that this isn't the last they'll hear from her. With characteristic optimism, she hinted at future endeavors, promising to continue connecting with audiences, whether through the airwaves or screens.

"Today, 26th April 2024, will be my last show @capitalfmuganda on #MalaikaAndOulanyah. But you know me,…. I will always find a way to be either on your screen or radio," she affirmed, leaving room for anticipation regarding her next chapter in the media realm.
