City socialite Eng. Acram Gumisiriza, husband of Dr. Hajat Kulthum Nabunya, has revealed his intentions to contest for the highest office in Uganda in the upcoming 2026 general elections, he wants to become the next President.
During a recent celebration of Eid-Ul-Fitr, Eng. Acram Gumisiriza shared his political aspirations while enjoying an outing with his partner, Dr. Hajat Kulthum Nabunya, accompanied by close friends. Reporters, seizing the opportunity, commended Gumisiriza for his commitment to Nabunya and inquired about his plans for the future.
In a heartfelt response, Eng. Acram Gumisiriza expressed his desire to make Dr. Hajat Kulthum Nabunya the first lady of Uganda by vying for the presidential seat in 2026, citing it as the ultimate gift he wishes to present to his wife.
I have done almost everything for my lover Hajat Kulthum, but what I think I can do for her next is to contest for the presidency of Uganda in 2026 and make her become the first lady of the country. I am going to contest as an Independent,
stated Gumisiriza.
When questioned about his choice of symbol for his campaign, Gumisiriza humorously replied that he would use the 'Eyes,' as people often describe him by his discerning gaze, which enables him to see from afar.
Asserting the seriousness of his intentions, Gumisiriza assured the public that he is fully prepared for the endeavor. He revealed plans to commence gathering the required signatures for his candidacy next week, emphasizing his determination to pursue this political ambition.
