Singer Shafik Dangote, better known as Fik Gaza, has come out and bragged about his upcoming collaboration with Nigerian music icon Davido. He says that just like Konshens, Davido also approached him and begged for a collabo.
The announcement comes hot on the heels of Davido's electrifying 'Timeless Concert' held at Kololo Independence Grounds over the weekend, where he shared the stage with a lineup of local talents including Grenade Official and Pia Pounds.
According to reports, Fik Gaza revealed that during his interactions with Davido, the Nigerian superstar expressed keen interest in collaborating on a track together. Drawing parallels to his previous collaboration with Jamaican artist Konshens, Davido purportedly initiated the idea, which Fik Gaza enthusiastically embraced.
"I did accept to have a collabo with Davido. It’s he who requested a collabo. The song is actually already in the pipeline and he is working on his end. Just like Konshens asked for a collabo, he (Davido) also approached me for one, This means we are working hard and I am hopeful that many more will come flooding (requesting for collabos) soon" Fik Gaza disclosed in an exclusive interview with Spark TV.
Fik Gaza, a cornerstone of Uganda's music scene, attributes his rise to stardom to relentless hard work and dedication. With this groundbreaking collaboration, Fik Gaza envisions more opportunities opening up for him.
