Seasoned sports journalist Patrick Kanyomozi has bid farewell to KFM after 13 years to reportedly join Bobi Wine's National Unity Platform (NUP). The move has set off a chain reaction within NUP, with the elevation of Waiswa to the position of Spokesperson and Kanyomozi stepping in as Deputy Spokesperson.

Having been a prominent figure in the sports arena at KFM, Kanyomozi decided to drop the mic and embrace a new chapter in his career.

“I leave a very contented man…I give glory to the most high,” remarked Kanyomozi in a tweet.

His farewell show on KFM aired on Friday morning, marking the end of an era for the Sports Producer and presenter. In a heartfelt social media statement, Kanyomozi expressed his gratitude for achieving his childhood dream of becoming a radio presenter.

"I leave a very contented man because from a very young age, all I ever wanted to do was to be a Radio Presenter. I was lucky to get my first radio job in my S6 vacation and never looked back. I have lived my dream. I give glory to the most high," he shared.

Kanyomozi kicked off his radio career as a news reader during his S.6 vacation, later moving to Prime Radio before finding his home at KFM around 2008. He expressed deep appreciation for the support received throughout his journalistic journey and thanked both colleagues and loyal listeners.

“I am very grateful to everyone who gave me a hand on my radio and journalism journey. To everyone I have worked with or alongside, thank you,” he acknowledged.

While Kanyomozi is tight-lipped about his next career move, the news community wishes him a happy and fulfilling retirement.

Congratulations on a job well done, Patrick Kanyomozi!
