During an interview on NTV Uganda's Mwasuzue Mutya program, renowned Ugandan Deejay and Radio host, Robert Ogwal, popularly known as Rasta Rob MC, bragged about how he played a pivotal role in transporting Zari Hassan from Jinja to the capital city of Kampala as his first boyfriend who took her goat.
In a candid conversation with host Ruth, Rasta Rob reminisced about his early days at the Jinja Sailing Club, where he worked as a Deejay. It was there, in 1996-1997, that he first crossed paths with the then 18-year-old Zari Hassan.
“Zari Hassan was my girlfriend back in the days. I was the person who got her out of Jinja to Kampala, and we spent almost 2 years together. However, with time, she got attached to other circles, and we parted ways,” revealed Rasta Rob, shedding light on a chapter of his life that has remained relatively unknown.
Their relationship, which began during their time in Jinja, eventually led to Rasta Rob's decision to bring Zari to Kampala. However, as time went on, Zari ventured into different social circles, and the two eventually went their separate ways.

While discussing his journey in the entertainment industry, Rasta Rob emphasized that the majority of his glory days can be attributed to his work in radio rather than his music career. Currently working part-time at Radio City, he reflected on the impact of his radio endeavors.
As for Zari Hassan, she has moved on and is now happily married to her younger Ugandan husband, Shakib Cham, embracing a new chapter in her life. Rasta Rob's current love life remains undisclosed, leaving fans intrigued about the Deejay's personal affairs.
