The much-anticipated charity concert "Light a Candle for Evelyn Love," dedicated to the late singer Evelyn Lagu, has hit a snag. Originally slated for November 5th, 2023, at Papaz Spot in Mankidye, it has now been canceled, leaving fans and supporters disappointed.

The decision to call off the event came from the organizing committee, and the reason may leave you raising an eyebrow. It turns out that the scheduled date clashed with another show hosted by Aromatic Entertainment. This scheduling conflict quickly escalated into a heated verbal altercation between the two parties.

Aromatic Entertainment showrunners began to suspect that Evelyn's charity concert might be a covert attempt to rival their own event, leading to more tensions. In an effort to avoid further conflicts within the industry, Mesach SemKula, the chairman of the organizing committee, made the tough call to cancel the concert.

However, there's still hope for those who were eager to support Evelyn's cause. Mesach SemKula has pledged that anyone interested in contributing to the late singer's mission can reach out to her son, Kasavu, through his social media inbox or by phone.

Before Evelyn Lagu's untimely passing, she was passionately organizing this philanthropic concert to connect with her fans and raise funds for her medical expenses. Tragically, Evelyn did not live to see her vision come to fruition, as she passed away just days before the event was scheduled to take place.

Despite this setback, the organizing committee, which included Mesach Semakula, Fifi Da Queen, Dianah Nabatanzi, and other members, is committed to carrying on with the event, with all proceeds going to support the late singer's son. It's a bittersweet turn of events for this charity concert, but the spirit of giving and support remains undiminished.
