Renown radio presenter and events host, Martha Byoga, commonly known as Maritza has shockingly opened up about the terrible exploitation and disrespect she went through while working at XFM and Next Radio.

Through a thread of tweets, Maritza who has so far worked at three different media houses in a space of nine years explained why.

She stated that it all happened due to bad treatment she faced at the different workplaces.

She notes that she worked at XFM for five years under a lot of ‘disrespect and disregard’ but used the opportunity to elevate herself to a different level.

" Let me address the loud offence that was laid against me in a recent interview at KFM Someone asked why I was a radio "Malaya"  First, please understand that the job I do requires me to 'announce' when I leave. I would absolutely rather not but alas. Let's get into it... My first job was at XFM, worked 5 years under a lot of disrespect and disregard I might add but never the less did the most with the opportunity. Was I supposed to stay on 800K hosting a morning show while my co-host made double that, I think the hell not.

KFM to the rescue! amazing 3 years of great work!! Of course it's employment which will never be roses & peaches so literally a month to end of my 3 year contract I get a promising offer which they chose not to match. Another offer they couldn't match was on the table. On to the NEXT and the real offer I moved for was RUDelY taken off the table and all I had to sit with was double my previous salary and a product that for the life of me I did my best with but in vain. There's nothing I'm saying here that my previous bossss haven't heard.

Now in 9 years and 3 amazing companies I'm yours truly, Radio Malaya, Kameza Lady, Mama KLA Choose one, I need a personality show for when I return which is the only way I plan to return. MOVE FREELY please; never let society pressures keep you where you don't belong. I love radio. I have loved every single person I have worked with. 'Employers' have seen what I can do. I do it dedicated & very well But 2022, Spoken Word was calling. The gods decided and that's how my life played out. I am joyous & free. I'm also the Terminator; I'LL BE BACK "- she concluded.
