Martha Kirabo. Biography

Martha Kirabo.
Born in poverty on the third of June. Raised by pain, anger, rage and Jesus on the streets of Nakulabye
and Kasubi.
She tried to kill herself for love in Makerere only to be buried for in the alleys of mistakes, fear,
procrastination, pride, watching TV and house keeping.
An online article by Robin Frederick “Tips: song writing for film and TV” that she stumbled on during a
holy ghost hour in 2017 raised the dead when she penned her first lyric called “ROSEMARY BECAME
HER" inspired by a scene in the Brazilian series LADO A LADO.

She’d later also stumble upon the UK SONGWRITING CONTEST where she has been a participant over
the years with her lyrics for “WEIGHT OF EMPTINESS”, a contrafactum to Simon and Garfunkel’s SOUND
OF SILENCE rating 5 stars and awarded a commended entry in 2022.
Martha’s stories rise from personal experiences, dreams, desires and ambitions,
