Mpiima Johnson hails from Namasuba, a town near Entebbe, Uganda. He was raised by his mother, Namale Hafswa, and received support from his grandmother, Mangadalena Naku, who sadly passed away in September 2022. Johnson attended View Primary School from 2001 to 2007 and later joined Aiden College for his secondary education in Kampala, Uganda’s largest city. After completing his A-Levels, he furthered his studies at Makerere University, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Technology.

Mpiima Johnson embarked on his professional music journey at the age of 25 in 2020, transitioning from his roles as an actor, editor, and director in skits, stage performances, and comedy videos.
