Born in Entebbe, Uganda, Mpiima Johnson currently resides in the bustling heart of Kampala Central. Like many aspiring artists, he's working hard to make ends meet. His artistic portfolio spans music and digital content, produced in a fusion of Luganda and English, making his work accessible to a wide audience.
The moniker 'Mpiima Johnson' was introduced to the music scene just two years ago, in 2020. His debut single, 'Awana Love,' quickly gained traction, resonating with audiences in the vibrant city of Kampala.
"I embarked on my music journey in 2019, but it was 2020 when my first track, 'Awana Love,' made its mark, followed by 'Tek You Out,' which was a hit, especially in Central Uganda, where I began promoting my music," Mpiima shared with Blizz Uganda.
Listening to his music, it's evident that Mpiima Johnson has a penchant for infusing his tracks with the soft touch of love, Afro beats, RnB, and a medley of emotions. His inspirations draw from a diverse pool of international artists, including Chris Brown, Jason Derulo, Zayn Malik, and Justin Bieber.
