Former Miss World Uganda, Oliver Nakakande, has on Monday flown off to Indonesia for the Miss Grand International.
Nakakande will be representing Uganda at the 10th edition of the Miss Grand International (MGI).
The MGI pageant is scheduled to be held on October 25 at the Sentul International Convention Center in Bogor Regency, Indonesia, where at least 90 countries are expected to take part.
Nakakande, who is the winner of the 2019-2020 Miss World Uganda beauty pageant will utilise this platform to make the voices of Ugandan women heard across the world given her passionate knowledge about empowering teenage mothers who have dropped out of school and advocacy their for second chances.
Oliver Nakakande is a former Miss Uganda World in the year 2019 whose reign was extended to 2020 and 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic lockdown.
She is active on the international stage as a fashion model, speaker, humanitarian, and volunteer.
She is popularly remembered for representing Uganda at the 69th Miss World where she scooped the Miss World Magazine’s Cover Girl and Fourth Runner Up for Miss World Top Model.
