Match day eight of the 2022 Masaza Cup group stages has seen Buddu fall to a 1:0 away loss to Buvuma. Ivan Lukwago scored a penalty in the 87th minute to condemn Buddu to the third loss of the campaign.
The result means the two sides share points this season after goals from Bukenya Vianey and Bruno Bunyaga gave the defending champions a 2:0 win in the first leg.
Buvuma hence moved from bottom of the six team table to 5th position with eight points with Mawogola descending to 6th position on seven points.
In the other matches, Buluuli played a 1-all stalemate with Ssingo at Mijeera Playground. Opio David and Mukasa Amuli scored for the respective sides.
The day’s results mean each of the teams in Masengere group can advance to the quarter finals with Sunday fixtures only to determine otherwise.
