Masaza Cup: How Gomba Made Full Revenge on Buwekula with a 2:0 win

The 2022 Masaza Cup tournament and the 18th edition has had its match day six completed on Sunday 7th August with the most eye catching, a 2:0 win by Gomba over Buwekula.

Buwekula beat Gomba 1:0 in the opening match of the group at Kasenyi play ground but a 2:0 loss in the return leg away at Kabulasoke PTC was making revenge to its fullest by the record champions (5).

Thanks to goals from Kenneth Kimera and Bruce Kalibbala who got the job done.

Gomba maintained the lead at the table moving to 13 points from six matches but Buwekula fell to third position on seven points after the loss and Mawokota who beat Butambala 2:0 moved to second position. Alex Yiga and John Paul Dembe scored for the three time champions.

Jimmy Kalema scores the only goal as Busiro beat Kyaggwe 1:0 and Sulaiman Ssesaazi was the hero as Bulemeezi outmaneuvered Ssese with a 1:0 win.
