Fazila Ikwaput was the hero when her 115th extra time minute goal gave Uganda a 1:0 edge past Ethiopia and to guide her side into the finals. The sides had to play extra time following a barren stalemate in normal time.

Uganda who are the hosts of this year’s tournament at Njeru set up a final with Burundi who later in the day ejected Tanzania with a 2:1 score.

Tanzania got the lead in the first minute of the match through Opa Clement but Burundi equalized through Asha Djaffari in the 13th minute before Sandra Niyonkuru put the icing on the cake with 12 mini to play to send Burundi in wild celebrations after storming finals.

Uganda (Crested Cranes) will play host to Burundi in the finals to be played on Saturday at FUFA Technical Center, Njeru and the match will be televised live on FUFA TV.
