Sandra Nabweteme was the hero as her two goals helped the Crested Cranes come a goal down to beat Burundi 4:1 and to finish top of group A with 9 points in 3 matches.
The Crested Cranes had not conceded a goal in the tournament but Burundi ended that when Falonne Nahimana gave her side the lead in the 10th minute but Uganda turned around the result when Fazila Ikwaput scored an equalizer four minutes later and Shamirah Nalugya gave the Crested Cranes the lead in the 47th and Sandra Nabweteme’s brace sealed the wrought.
Uganda who won 2:0 against Rwanda the tournament’s opener, 5:0 win against Djibouti and today’s win advanced to the next level (Semifinals ) with maximum points (9).
