The Uganda University football league has seen one match played between Gulu University and Uganda Martyrs University with the latter getting at the table to and in a comfortable position of qualifying for the knockout stage of the competition for the 6th straight time in 6 seasons since 2015.
Akbal Ssentongo and Ivan Agambire scored in the 53rd and 90th minute respectively as Uganda Martyrs University beat Gulu University 0-2 in Gulu today Tuesday in the Pepsi University Football League.
The victory ensured that Uganda Martyrs completed a double-over Gulu as they won the first leg 2-0 in Nkozi in April
Result takes the former champions to the top of the table and in a comfortable position to qualify for the knockout stage for what would be the 5th time in 6 seasons since 2015.
Action in the Pepsi University League continues on Thursday with a Group B tie between Makerere University Business School and Muni University at Nakawa at 3pm.
