The StarTimes FUFA Big League has climaxed today Thursday 28th April 2022 with Blacks Power FC winning the trophy. Blacks Power FC beat Luweero United FC 2:1 to win promotion to the country’s top tier for a debut season 2022/2023.
Both Kyetume FC and Maroons won promotion back to Uganda Premier League after winning their finals matches.
Kyetume visited and beat Kataka FC 3:2 to deny the home side FUFA Big League Championship whereas Maroons won 5:0 away to Ntamityobora.
Mujib Kasule’s Proline Football Club was relegated following a 5:0 demolition of Kitara FC by Ndejje University. The win took Ndejje University to 26 points, one more than Proline and hence displaced the latter in the 8th position.
Maroons FC striker Amaku Fred and Kyetume FC’s Ezra Kizito finished as league top scorers on 15 goal each. Fred scored a goal in a 5:0 thumping of Nyamityobola whereas Kizito scored a brace as Kyetume beat Kataka 3:2.
