URA FC has moved to second position on the Star Times Uganda Premier League (UPL) table with a comprehensive 3:1 win over record winners SC Villa Joggo.
Uganda Revenue Authority Football Club scored through Saidi Kyeyune, Steven Mukwala and Dada Ibrahim in a four goal thriller whereas Sadam Juma pulled one for the Joggos. The win, their 9th of the season from 22 matches with 9 draws and 2 losses took them to second position, level on points with KCCA (42) but with a superior goal difference of 24 to 16.
The loss by SC Vill saw them drop to 12th position on 22 points from as many matches and are currently only two points above relegation. SC Villa have Vipers, Onduparaka and Wakiso Giants as their next three UPL fixtures and should be already in panic over being relegated.
KCCA FC and table leaders Vipers have a game in hand and will play it against themselves. A win for Vipers SC will take them to ten points ahead of both second placed URA FC and KCCA whereas a win for the ‘Kasasiro’ Boys will reduce the gap to only four points.
