KCCA FC completed its season's two fixtures against Onduparaka with a 3:1 thumping of the Arua based side. Herbert Achai openned the scoring with a beautifully taken free kick that went into the top corner of the goal post in the 35th minute before Usama Arafati slotted home from close quarters to double the lead for the 13 time Uganda Premier League champions.
Baden Mujahid had brought Onduparaka FC half way back with a cracker in the 83rd minute but Hassan Jurua ensured the 'Caterpillars' stay with no hopes for a even point with a 90th minute worldie of a strike to seal the much needed three points for a title chasing KCCA FC mostly after Vipers had drawn 1:1 with UPDF a day before.
With now the same number of matches played, KCCA FC and Vipers SC are in a tight battle for the title this season with only a point separating leaders Vipers SC and second played KCCA FC, having 40 and 39 points respectively.
On the other hand, Onduparaka FC stands 12th on a sixteen team table with 17 points, one point off the relegation zone.
KCCA FC's next match is in Uganda Cup against Bright Stars Fc on Friday 25th Feb 2022 whereas Onduparaka play at home against Tooro United in the same tournament on Wednesday 23rd February 2022.
