Playing their year opener away from home, both SC Villa and Vipers SC succumbed to 1:0 losses to Bright Stars FC and Arua Hill SC respectively.

Both sides were massive winners in their last matches last year with Villa walloping Tooro 4:0 whereas Vipers SC lectured UPDF FC 7:2.

However, it looked like they didn't spare some goals for today's matches that left them goalless against sides that have not been performing well especially Bright Stars. The stars had not won a single match in their last seven matches, losing five since a 1:0 win against Tooro United on 26th November,2021.

New league entrants Arua Hill SC had their goal from former Vipers SC strike Alfred Leku in the 10th minute but the side kept the moment and held on for maximum points against a bogey side Vipers SC. Vipers SC hence squandered the opportunity to make the points gap four over KCCA FC who play Mbarara City on Wednesday 5th January,2021.

They however remain at the top of the table with 29 points, one ahead of second placed KCCA FC in second.

The Arua Hill SC win took them to 24 points from 14 matches and are currently 5th on the sixteen team log.

Busoga United FC will play host to Onduparaka FC on Wednesday 5th January,2021
