Uganda Premier League: Vipers SC And KCCA FC Kick Start New Season In High Gear

Uganda Cup reigning Champions Vipers SC and thirteen time Uganda Premier League champions KCCA FC both opened their quest of a league title this season with wins against Police FC and Wakiso Giants FC respectively.

Scoring through Milton Kaliisa and Ceaser Manzoki, Vipers SC with new coach Robertinho easily saw off home side Police FC in a match played at MTN Phillip Omondi Stadium, Lugogo.

At Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium, visitors KCCA FC beat Wakiso Giants FC 3:0. Sadat Anaku, debutant Davis Kasirye and Ashraf Mugume scored for the 'Kasasiro Boys' to ensure the club goes at the table summit.

Coach Morley Byekwaso named five of his new signings who included Davis Kasirye, Geofrey Wasswa, Brian Majwega, goalkeeper Benjamin Ochan and Innocent Wafula all didn't disappoint on the day.

Benjamin Ochan was named man of the match following his two involvements into action to deny Frank Sebuufu and Rahmat Senfuka on the 40th and 44th minutes.

Uganda Premier League match day one climaxes on Monday 18th October with new league entrants Gadafi FC hosting Busoga United at Gadafi Arena, Jinja City.
