The two members of parliament Hon Muhammad Ssegirinya of Kawempe North and Hon Allan Ssewanyana of Makindye West have listed new grounds which they want the court to consider to release them from Kigo Prison where they are currently on remand.

Ssewanyana and Ssegirinya were re-arrested after being granted bail by Masaka High Court over the Masaka murders have made another application for bail.

The MPs claim among others that they are suffering from health complications which require serious medical attention they have not been able to receive while in detention.

In the same application, they told court that they have fixed places of abode, substantial sureties who will assure that they attend court wherever they are required; and they are willing to abide by all Bail terms which court may find necessary.

Deputy Court Registrar Agnes Nkonge had asked the duo to return on Wednesday this week because High Court Judge Victoria Nkonge was indisposed. The duo last month were arrested by security operatives outside Kigo Prison after court had granted them Bail

They were last week driven back to Masaka High court where they were charged with another count of murder and later on remanded by Masaka Chief Magistrates Court.
