Thirteen time Uganda premier league winners KCCA FC are today 27th September, 2019 taking on Angola's Petro de Luanda in the second leg of the first round of CAF Champions League group stage qualifiers.

The first leg a week ago in Luanda ended in a barren draw a result that means a win of any sort for the Lugogo side will guarantee them a spot in the group stages of the continent's most prestigious club trophy.

Squad news.

The squad is boosted by the coming back of assistant coach Morley Byekwaso from the U20 Hippos team who have a recess ahead of the quarter finals.

Also back to the squad is Sadat Anaku and Steven Sserwadda all from CECAFA U20, midfielders Nicolas Kasozi and winger Simon Sserunkuuma who return from injuries.

However, the Kasasiro boys will be without Julius Poloto, Sadam Juma and Jurua Hassan through injuries whereas Erisa Ssekisambu, John Revita, Kezron Kizito and John Odumegwu are e
ineligible to play at this level.

The Lugogo based team has not lost a continental game at home except for the two points lost in a one all stalemate with Uganda cranes captain Dennis Onyango's side Mamelodi Sundowns two years ago.

This is KCCA FC's 30th continental match under Manager Mike Mutebi's helm, however they have won as many as they have lost 13, with three draws. A win today will mean they have won more than they have lost hence they need to win at any cost whatsoever.
