A 23 man contingent that left Uganda on Wednesday 14th July, safely landed in Ethiopia ahead of the CECAFA U23 Championship.
Uganda which was pooled in group A along with Democratic Republic of Congo and Tanzania opens the tournament on Sunday 18th July with a fixture against DR Congo at 2Pm.
Uganda's second match will be played a week later on Sunday 25th July, 2021.
The other groups of the tournament include B and C. Group B has Ethiopia, Burundi and Eritrea whereas group C is comprised of Djibouti, South Sudan and Kenya.
The tournament is slated to take place from July 18th-31st with all matches taking Bahir Dar, Ethiopia.
