Despite Kasanda District being sovereign in political issues, the district is still taken under Mubende as regards to football.
On 10th April 2021, the FUFA elections polls at District levels (DFA)were conducted and here we bring to who will govern football in Mubende-Kassanda District.
Mayanja Dan Mubiru who is an officer at Kassanda's Lugingi FC was elected an opposed at the District Football Association's chairman and will be deputised by Tumwebaze Bafanabyo Gilbert as the first Vice Chairman. He is of Bafana FC also from Kassanda.
Mubende Army SS headmaster and also the patron of the school's football club that plays in the fourth division was named the second vice chairperson.
Super Eagles (originates from Kassanda) FC officer Wakonta Joseph Mayanja was named the general Secondary with Bukenya Asuman Mohammed (also from Super Eagles) was named the DFA's Finance manager.
Mwebembezi Salvan of Mubende Army SS FC and Kirumira Hassan of of Kassanda FC were named as members on the DFA executive. Nampiima Zaina of Kibisi FC will represent women whereas Katumba Robert Philly will be the Referees' representative at the DFA executive.
Kiwanuka Fred and Serebe Sam will represent the district at Buganda Region whereas Ms Batenga Lydia will be the women's delegate at Buganda Region.
